Fruit Catcher

Fruit Catcher. Charcoal and Coloured Chalk on Paper, 1996

I’m not sure the Fruit Catcher really appreciates the good things in life that come his way. He’s a little distracted by his melancholy thoughts of lost love. He needs to learn that a ripe fruit in the hand is worth two chickens in one basket that haven’t yet been counted.

This work was sold around 1996 at an exhibition in Paddington, Sydney.
